Will it stay cold in a hot clubroom or outdoor bar area?
Yes — the Schmick 160L is rated to cool to 0°C in ambient conditions of 32°C and above. It's specifically designed for the kind of hot, poorly ventilated environment that domestic bar fridges struggle with. It's also approved for outdoor use in covered areas.
What does triple-glazed LOW E glass actually do?
Three layers of LOW E coated glass prevent condensation forming on the outside of the door — which means no dripping, no wiping, and the door always looks clean. In a hot clubroom where a standard glass door fridge would be running with a wet, fogged-up door, the Schmick stays clear all day. Your stock is always visible without opening the door.
Can it be built into a bar cavity?
Yes — but the cavity needs to be sized correctly to allow proper ventilation. Minimum cavity: 470mm wide, 625mm deep, 1920mm high. Ventilation allowances: 40mm each side, 150mm rear, 40mm top. Do not undersize the cavity — insufficient ventilation will affect performance and may void the warranty.
How does the warranty work?
2-year on-site parts and labour. Schmick sends a technician to your club — you don't ship the fridge anywhere. All parts and labour costs are covered. The warranty is extendable to 3 years. This is not a back-to-base warranty and not a parts-only warranty.
Are all the brand designs the same fridge?
Yes — every design option is the same SS-P160FA fridge with the same specs, same parts, and same warranty. The only difference is the door artwork. Unbranded, Carlton Dry, Carlton Draught, Fosters, Great Northern, VB, Melbourne Bitter, Lest We Forget — all identical underneath.
How much does it cost to run?
2.1 kW per 24 hours — approximately $197 per year to run based on standard electricity rates. The LOW E glass, German EBM fans, and energy-saving compressor keep running costs low for a fridge of this size and capacity.
Once your order is confirmed we get it moving straight away. You'll receive tracking as soon as it leaves the warehouse. The Schmick ships as a large freight item — it will be delivered to your club on a pallet.
