Does it need to be cemented in?
No — the portable base fills with sand or water for stability. No digging, no concrete, no permanent installation. Use sand for maximum weight and stability, or water if you want to be able to empty it for moving or storage.
How does the height adjustment work?
The Speed Shift® system uses counter-balance springs to make height adjustment easy with one hand. Lift the handle, move to your desired height — 2.4m, 2.55m, 2.7m, 2.85m, or 3.0m — and release. No tools, no struggle, no needing a second person to hold it while you adjust.
What surface can it be used on?
The Crossover works on any flat hard surface — concrete driveway, asphalt, pavers, or a hard court. It can also be used on firm grass, though stability is better on a hard surface. Not designed for soft ground or lawn where the base will sink.
How long does assembly take?
Most people complete assembly in 1–2 hours. All tools and hardware are included. The 3-piece pole connects with simple fasteners and the backboard attaches to the pole assembly before it's raised into position.
Is it suitable for competitive or institutional use?
