The Outdoor Basketball Hoop Built to Stay — Backyard, School Court, or Community Park
The GO-GETTER Sports Fixed Basketball Tower is a permanently installed outdoor basketball hoop built for the long haul — hot-dip galvanised steel construction, a 1800 × 1050mm backboard in timber or plastic, a regulation-height fixed ring, and a commercial-grade net designed to take daily use without constant replacement. Whether it's going into a backyard, a school playground, a community park, or a sporting club's outdoor court, this is a basketball hoop built to the same standard regardless of who's installing it.
The difference between a budget portable hoop and a GO-GETTER tower is obvious after the first winter. Hot-dip galvanising bonds a zinc coating to the steel at a molecular level — it doesn't chip, flake, or rust the way powder-coated or painted poles do under UV exposure and rain. The ring is fixed at 3.05m regulation height with no height mechanism to seize, strip, or fail. It goes in the ground, stays there, and plays consistently for years.
📦 Included with the GO-GETTER Fixed Basketball Tower
Hot-dip galvanised steel post · 1800 × 1050mm backboard (timber or plastic — choose your variant) · fixed basketball ring at 3.05m regulation height · commercial-grade net · ground spigot for permanent installation · warning sticker · optional post padding available
Families wanting a permanent backyard basketball hoopPortable systems tip over, wobble, and degrade. If your kids are serious about basketball or you just want something that stays put and plays properly without babysitting, the GO-GETTER tower installs once and is there every day without adjustment, inflation, or repositioning.
Schools adding outdoor basketball capacityA single fixed tower gives a school playground a permanent basketball point that requires no staff setup, no storage, and no maintenance beyond the occasional net replacement. Built to withstand the daily punishment of a school yard and the occasional deliberate attempt to damage it.
Councils upgrading park and recreation infrastructureA permanently installed basketball hoop in a community park creates an activation point that gets used every day without any ongoing management. Hot-dip galvanised construction means it handles the outdoor environment for years without the rust and deterioration that plagues cheaper park equipment.
Sports clubs adding an outdoor training hoopA fixed outdoor hoop alongside an indoor stadium extends training options — players can shoot before and after sessions, run off-programme training, or give juniors somewhere to play while senior games are on. One installation, ongoing value.
Anyone replacing a worn-out or cheap hoop with something that lastsIf you've already been through one or two budget hoops that rusted, bent, or fell apart — the GO-GETTER tower is the last basketball hoop you'll need to buy for that location. Australian-made, built to commercial specification, designed for the outdoor conditions it will actually live in.
Hot-dip galvanised steel — not powder coated, not paintedPowder coating and paint sit on the surface of the steel — once they chip or scratch, moisture gets in underneath and rust starts. Hot-dip galvanising works differently. The steel is dipped in molten zinc which fuses directly into it, becoming part of the steel itself rather than a coating on top. The result is a post that handles years of outdoor exposure — rain, UV, heat — without rusting or deteriorating the way painted poles do.
Regulation 3.05m ring height — no mechanism to failFixed at regulation height means no crank handle, no adjustment cable, no hydraulic mechanism, and no way for the height system to seize, strip, or fail over time. It plays at the correct height from day one and continues to play at the correct height for the life of the installation.
1800 × 1050mm backboard — full-size, proper reboundA full-size backboard gives players the bank shot and rebound experience that a small plastic backboard can't replicate. At 1800 × 1050mm this is a commercial-specification backboard.
Timber or plastic backboard — choose the right surfaceTimber delivers excellent rebound quality and a traditional court feel — the right choice for performance-focused installations. Plastic is weather-resistant, shatter-proof, and better suited to exposed high-traffic areas or locations where vandalism resistance matters more than rebound character.
Ground spigot included — stable, secure, permanentThe ground spigot comes with the tower and provides the secure in-ground connection that keeps the post stable under play. Supply only or supply and install — contact us before ordering if you want installation arranged.
Australian-made — built for Australian conditionsGO-GETTER Sports equipment is designed and manufactured in Australia for Australian conditions — UV exposure, temperature extremes, and the specific demands of Australian school yards and community parks. For councils and schools, Australian-made status can also support local procurement requirements in grant applications.
Schools and Councils — This Can Be Grant Funded
Permanent outdoor sports infrastructure like a fixed basketball tower is a strong candidate for grant funding — it increases physical activity participation, creates a lasting community asset, and requires no ongoing operational cost once installed. Relevant funding streams include Sport Australia's Sporting Schools program, state government sport and recreation infrastructure grants, local council community infrastructure funding, and school capital works programs.
At Club Captain we don't just supply the equipment — we help you find the right grant, scope the project, build a strong application, and submit with confidence. We provide itemised quotes formatted specifically to meet grant funding criteria and school or council procurement requirements.

Can I install this myself or do I need a professional?
The tower is available as supply only if you prefer to handle installation yourself, or we can arrange installation through Club Captain. The ground spigot is included either way. If you're a school or council and need installation as part of a grant acquittal, contact us before ordering and we'll put together a complete supply and install quote.
Why is the ring fixed rather than height-adjustable?
Fixed rings are more durable, lower maintenance, and more stable than adjustable systems. Height adjustment mechanisms — cranks, hydraulics, cables — are the most common point of failure on outdoor basketball hoops. By removing that mechanism entirely, the GO-GETTER tower eliminates that failure point and plays consistently at regulation 3.05m height for the life of the installation.
Is 3.05m too high for younger players?
Regulation height is 3.05m and is standard for competition from junior level upward. Most schools and councils install at regulation height as it's appropriate for the broadest range of players. If you specifically need height-adjustable options for younger primary-age children, the GO-GETTER home basketball system with adjustable height from 1.7m to 3.05m may be more suitable — contact us to discuss.
How does hot-dip galvanising compare to powder coating?
Powder coating is a finish applied on top of the steel. Once it chips or scratches — which it will in an outdoor environment over time — moisture gets underneath and rust starts. Hot-dip galvanising works differently. The steel is dipped in molten zinc which fuses directly into the surface and becomes part of the steel itself, not just a coating on top of it. It's far more resistant to the kind of everyday wear and weather that outdoor sports equipment takes, which is why it's used on infrastructure that needs to last rather than be replaced every few years.
Can schools and councils use a purchase order?
Yes. We accept school and council purchase orders and provide itemised quotes formatted for principal, business manager, or procurement officer approval. Call us on 1300 715 818 or submit a quote request here.
How does this compare to the 4-way tower and the reversible tower?
This is a single-hoop fixed tower — one backboard, one ring, one installation point. It suits backyards, single-court additions, or locations where one hoop is all that's needed. The 4-way tower puts four hoops on one post for maximum play capacity in a single footprint. The reversible tower switches between basketball and netball on a single post — the right choice when both sports share a court.
