Golf Course Flags That Hold Up All Season. Premium Nylon, Triple Stitched, UV Treated.

Golf course flags take more punishment than almost any other piece of course hardware — constant wind, UV exposure, rain, and daily handling across every hole, every round, all season. A flag that fades, frays at the edges, or loses its colour vibrancy before the year is out makes your greens look tired and your course presentation suffer. Dint golf course flags are made from 420 denier nylon — a premium heavy-duty material that's twice the weight of standard flag nylon — triple stitched with bar-tracking corners, double rows, and zig-zag stitching on the fly hem. They stay sharp, vibrant, and intact through a full year of heavy use.

Available in four styles — Heavy Duty solid colour, Border, Tournament, and Diagonal Split — in a range of competition colours. All styles are the same regulation 51cm × 34cm flag size. Logo embroidery and screen printing are available on request across all styles. Select your style and colour from the variants below.

All four styles share the same 420 denier nylon construction, regulation dimensions, and UV treatment. The difference is purely aesthetic — choose based on your course presentation preferences and competition requirements.

Heavy Duty — solid colour, clean presentation The standard solid colour flag — clean, professional, and the most widely used style across Australian golf courses. Highly visible from the fairway in all competition colours. The right choice for clubs that want a consistent, unfussy course presentation across all 18 holes.
Border — solid colour with contrasting border A solid colour flag with a contrasting border around the perimeter — adds visual definition and a premium look to the green. Popular with private and country clubs that want a step up from the standard solid flag without going to a full custom design.
Tournament — premium grade for competition play The tournament flag is the top-of-range option — built to the specification used in competitive play where flag quality and visibility are under scrutiny. Ideal for clubs hosting competitions, pennant rounds, and open days where presentation matters most.
Diagonal Split — two-colour diagonal design A two-colour flag divided diagonally — ideal for indicating pin position (front, middle, or back of the green) when used in combination with a solid colour set, or as a distinctive visual style for tournaments and special events. Highly visible from distance with the contrasting diagonal design.
420 denier nylon — premium heavy-duty material 420 denier nylon is a significantly heavier weave than the 200 denier material used in standard golf flags. The heavier the denier, the more tightly woven the fabric — which means more tear resistance, better colour retention, and significantly longer life under constant wind and UV exposure. Budget flags use lightweight nylon that frays and fades within weeks. These don't.
Triple stitched — bar-tracking, double rows, zig-zag on fly hem The stitching is where cheap flags fail first — particularly at the corners and the fly hem where wind stress is highest. Dint flags use bar-tracking at the corners, double row stitching throughout, and zig-zag stitching on the fly hem specifically to handle the repetitive stress of constant wind movement. Triple stitching across the whole flag means the seams outlast the fabric.
UV treated — colour stays vivid through Australian summers UV treatment locks in the colour saturation so flags don't fade to washed-out versions of their original colour after a few months in the Australian sun. A pale, faded flag on the green looks unprofessional and can make it harder to read pin position from the fairway. UV treated flags hold their colour through a full year of daily outdoor exposure.
Regulation size — 51cm × 34cm All four styles are the same regulation 51cm × 34cm golf flag size — the standard dimension for Australian golf course use. Consistent sizing across your course gives a clean, professional appearance and ensures all flags fly at the same height and angle in comparable wind conditions.
Logo embroidery and screen printing available Club logo embroidery and screen printing are available across all four flag styles — from a simple crest to a full sponsor design. Branded flags on the green reinforce your club's identity and give sponsors visibility on every hole. Can also be made double-sided. Contact us for a mock-up and quote.
Dint Golf — Australian golf hardware since 1930 Dint has been supplying Australian golf clubs with course hardware for over 90 years. Their flags are designed for the specific demands of Australian conditions — not sourced from overseas and relabelled. When a supplier has been trusted by Australian golf clubs for nine decades, the product quality is proven.

Most courses run their flags for a full year before replacing. Here's a practical guide to make sure you have enough on hand — including spares for tournament days and wind damage:

Factor Standard 18-hole course
Flags in play at once 18 flags — one per hole
Recommended spares 4–6 extra flags — covers damage, loss, and wind
Sensible opening order 22–24 flags — full set of 18 plus spares
Tournament extras Add 6–12 flags for competition days and events where presentation is under scrutiny

Contact us with your course details and we'll calculate the right quantities across your chosen style and colours — one itemised order ready for committee approval.

Golf Club Course Upgrades Can Be Grant Funded

Course hardware replacement programs — flags, tee markers, ball washers, and green accessories across all 18 holes — are regularly funded through state sport and recreation grants and local council community sport funding. A full course restock bundled into one application is a straightforward capital expenditure request that funding bodies actively support.

Club Captain provides fully itemised quotes formatted for grant applications and committee approval — covering flags alongside any other course hardware in a single order document.

How often should golf course flags be replaced?

Most courses run a single set of flags for a full year before replacing. Premium 420 denier flags like these are built to last that long — but having a small stock of spares on hand means you can swap out a damaged or heavily worn flag without waiting for a new order to arrive. A set of 18 flags plus 4–6 spares is a sensible starting order for most 18-hole courses.

What's the difference between the Heavy Duty and Tournament flags?

Both use the same 420 denier nylon construction and triple stitching. The Tournament flag is the top-of-range option with a premium finish specifically suited to competition play and events where flag quality is under scrutiny. For everyday course use, the Heavy Duty is an excellent choice. For pennant rounds, opens, and club championships — the Tournament flag is the right specification.

How are diagonal split flags used to indicate pin position?

Many courses use a combination of solid colour and diagonal split flags to indicate pin position on the green — for example, a solid flag means pin is in the middle, a diagonal flag at the front means pin is at the front of the green. The specific system varies by club and can be adapted to suit your course's preferred pin position indication method.

Can I get our club logo on the flags?

Yes — logo embroidery and screen printing are available across all four flag styles. Flags can also be made double-sided so the logo is visible from both sides of the green. Contact us for a mock-up and quote with your artwork. Request a Quote →

Can you quote for a full course flag order?

Yes — tell us your hole count, how many sets you want, your preferred style and colours, and whether you want any custom logo work, and we'll build a complete itemised quote formatted for committee approval. We can include flagsticks, tee markers, ball washers, and other course hardware in the same quote. Request a Quote →

Is this eligible for grant funding?

Yes — course hardware replacement programs are regularly funded through state sport and recreation grants and council community sport funding when bundled as part of a full course upgrade application. Start with The Grant Playbook →
