The Commercial Grade Reversible Basketball Tower. Engineered in Brisbane. Built for Australian Courts.

The Grand Slam Reversible Basketball Tower is a permanently installed dual-sport tower built for the courts that take a serious beating β€” school hard courts, council recreation facilities, and community sport centres where the tower needs to perform day in, day out for years without maintenance headaches. Manufactured in Brisbane by Grand Slam Sports Equipment, it's designed and tested for Australian conditions from the ground up β€” including wind-rated construction for exposed coastal and regional sites where a standard tower simply isn't enough.

Unlike off-the-shelf towers, the Grand Slam Reversible is built to your specification β€” choose your backboard type, wind rating, height-adjustable backboard, netball ring, safety padding, and powder coat finish at the time of order. One tower, two sports, configured exactly for your court, your environment, and your budget.

πŸ“¦ Included with every tower

Grand Slam Reversible Basketball Tower Β· full-size 1800Γ—1050mm backboard Β· basketball ring and net Β· netball ring (if selected) Β· galvanised steel support frame Β· ground sleeve Β· all fixings Β· configuration options selected at time of order

Schools with Permanent Hard Courts Primary and secondary schools that need a permanent dual-sport installation capable of handling daily PE classes, lunch time play, school sport, and carnivals year after year. The configurable spec means you can match the tower to your exact court layout, noise requirements, and budget β€” including noise reduction backboards for courts adjacent to classrooms.
Councils and Recreation Centres Community courts, recreation centre facilities, and public parks that need commercial-grade equipment built for high public use and minimal ongoing maintenance. Wind-rated options make this tower suitable for open, exposed sites where standard equipment isn't rated for the conditions.
Basketball and Netball Clubs Sharing a Court Clubs that run both basketball and netball programs from the same facility and need a tower that switches between sports cleanly. One tower, one ground sleeve, one installation β€” serving both codes without separate infrastructure.
Queensland Buyers Wanting Local Supply and Support Grand Slam is manufactured in Brisbane. For Queensland schools, councils, and clubs, that means shorter lead times, local warranty support, and equipment built with Australian conditions β€” including Queensland's coastal and tropical environments β€” specifically in mind.
Manufactured in Brisbane β€” built for Australian conditions Grand Slam has been manufacturing sports equipment in Brisbane for decades, supplying schools, councils, and sporting facilities across Australia. Every tower is engineered to Australian standards for Australian climates β€” not imported and rebranded. Local manufacture means faster lead times, accessible warranty support, and equipment that's actually designed for the conditions it operates in.
Wind-rated construction β€” suitable for exposed sites Available in wind rating 41 and 50 β€” designed for sites where standard towers don't meet structural requirements. Coastal schools, open recreation facilities, and regional sites with high wind exposure need equipment rated for those conditions. Most towers on the market aren't. The Grand Slam is.
Fully configurable β€” specify exactly what your court needs Wind rating, backboard type (fibreglass, SMC, or noise reduction), height-adjustable backboard, netball ring inclusion, safety padding, and powder coat finish are all selected at the time of order. You're not buying a standard product off a shelf β€” you're specifying a tower built for your court.
Full-size 1800Γ—1050mm backboard β€” regulation play The standard backboard is a full regulation 1800Γ—1050mm β€” the correct size for proper basketball play, not the undersized boards common on lower-spec towers. Outreach up to 2,400mm accommodates a range of court layouts.
Galvanised steel frame β€” standard, with powder coat available The support frame is galvanised steel as standard β€” corrosion resistant and built for outdoor exposure. Optional powder coat finish is available for facilities that want to match club or school colours, or for environments where additional corrosion protection is warranted.

Grant Funding β€” We Handle It End to End

Permanent basketball and netball infrastructure is regularly funded through Sport Australia's Sporting Schools programme, state government sport and recreation grants, and local council community infrastructure funding. Many schools and councils that purchase this tower do so without spending a cent of their own budget.

At Club Captain we help you identify the right grant, scope the application around the Grand Slam tower and your facility's specific needs, and submit with confidence. We provide itemised quotes formatted for grant applications, school purchase orders, and committee approval β€” with installation cost included.

What wind rating do I need?

Most standard school and council courts specify wind rating 41. Wind rating 50 is required for exposed coastal sites, tropical regions, and locations where local council or building approval specifies a higher wind rating. If you're unsure, include your postcode and site description when requesting a quote and we'll confirm the correct rating for your location.

Which backboard should I choose?

Fibreglass is the standard all-round option β€” durable and suited to most outdoor courts. SMC is a premium composite backboard with excellent rebound performance. Noise reduction is the right choice when the court is adjacent to classrooms, offices, or residential properties where ball impact noise is a concern. Call us on 1300 715 818 if you need help deciding.

How is this different from the Truline Reversible Tower?

Both are Australian-made permanent reversible towers. The Grand Slam is a heavier commercial-grade spec with wind-rated construction, a wider range of configuration options, and is manufactured in Brisbane making it particularly well-suited for Queensland buyers. The Truline is a proven mid-range option at a lower price point. If you're unsure which suits your facility, call us and we'll help you compare.

Do you organise installation?

Yes β€” Club Captain coordinates installation nationally through our installer network. You don't need to source your own contractor. Installation cost is quoted upfront so there are no surprises.

Can schools use purchase orders?

Yes β€” we accept school purchase orders and provide itemised quotes formatted for principal or business manager approval, school procurement, and grant applications. Request a Quote β†’

Is this eligible for grant funding?

Yes β€” permanent basketball and netball infrastructure is regularly funded through Sporting Schools, state sport and recreation grants, and council community infrastructure funding. Start with The Grant Playbook β†’
