The Centrepiece That Turns a Club Day Into an Event.
The TEQ SMART teqball table is the professional-grade, foldable version of the TEQ ONE — the table used at World Teqball Championships — and it's the kind of thing that stops people in their tracks. Roll it out at your end of season presentation, club open day, or school sports carnival and it becomes the event. People who've never heard of teqball will be queuing up within minutes. People who have will want a rematch all afternoon.
This isn't equipment that lives in a storeroom and gets dragged out every Tuesday night. It's a centrepiece — something your club brings out for the occasions that matter, sets up where everyone can see it, and packs away when the day is done. The SMART makes that easy: four lockable wheels, a gas-spring folding system, and one person can have it set up or packed down in minutes. Competition-grade HPL playing surface, transparent plexiglass net, 168kg steel frame — and the flexibility to go wherever the action is.
The TEQ SMART in action — see why it stops people in their tracks every time it's rolled out.

Soccer, Football, and Multi-Sport ClubsClubs that want something genuinely different at their next presentation night, open day, club day, or fundraiser. Teqball is a crowd-puller — once one person starts playing, everyone wants a turn. It works as a competition, a warm-up activity, or just something that gives people a reason to stick around after the game. Roll it out, and it runs itself.
SchoolsSchools looking for a standout activity for sports carnivals, school fetes, or special events — something students genuinely get excited about. It also works as a PE station for football skills, but the real value is as an event asset. Students who've seen teqball online will know exactly what it is and want to play immediately. Students who haven't will be hooked within one rally.
Clubs That Want to Stand OutIf your club is running a community open day, a fundraiser, a junior sign-on event, or an end of season night — a teqball table is the kind of thing that gets shared on social media, gets people talking, and makes your event look like it had a budget. It's also a genuine football skills tool when you do want to use it for training, with a solo mode where one side folds up as a rebounder for individual practice.
Competition-Grade SurfaceThe TEQ SMART uses a fine-structured high-pressure laminate (HPL) playing surface — the same material and curve used on the TEQ ONE at world championships. This matters for ball response. Cheaper teqball tables use fibreglass-reinforced polyester, which plays differently and degrades faster. If you're buying a table for a club or school that will see heavy use, the HPL surface is worth the investment.
Gas-Spring Folding SystemThe SMART folds vertically using a gas-spring mechanism — the same principle as a car boot. Smooth, controlled, and easy to operate solo. Fold it up and it rolls away on four lockable castor wheels. No struggling with heavy equipment, no needing two people to move it. A single person can set up and pack down the SMART without assistance.
Transparent Plexiglass NetThe transparent PMMA (plexiglass) net is a competition requirement — it means both players can see the full table surface at all times and there are no visual obstructions mid-rally. Cheaper tables use solid or opaque nets. If you've ever watched teqball and thought it looked impressive, the transparent net is a big part of why.
Built for Outdoor and Indoor UseWaterproof, UV-resistant, and rated from −20°C to +40°C. The steel frame is powder-coated against corrosion. Leave it outside the clubrooms in summer, bring it into the gym in winter — the SMART handles both without issue. This is not a table that needs to be pampered.
Multiple Sports, One TableThe TEQ SMART officially supports five Teq sports: Teqball (football), Teqvoly (volleyball), Teqis (tennis), Teqpong (table tennis), and Qatch (catching). In practice, anything you can kick, volley, or smash off the curved surface works. For a school PE department, this is a versatile piece of equipment that suits multiple sports curricula.
Award-Winning DesignWinner of the iF Design Award and the Hungarian Design Award. It looks as good as it plays — which matters when you're putting something in front of your club's members and students every day.
Teqball is played on a curved table using a standard football. Players use any part of their body except their hands and arms — head, chest, thigh, feet. The curved surface sends the ball back at unpredictable angles, which is what makes the game technically demanding and visually spectacular.
It can be played one-on-one (singles) or two-on-two (doubles). Each player or team gets a maximum of three touches before returning the ball over the net. Points are scored when the opponent fails to return the ball legally. Games are played to 20 points.
Space requirements: competition play needs 16m × 12m. Recreational use works comfortably in 12m × 10m — a standard club function room or school gym is more than enough.
For solo training, fold one side of the SMART up and use it as a rebounder — kick or header the ball against the raised surface and work on touch and reaction without a partner.
Grant Funding — We Handle It End to End
At $5,995 the TEQ SMART sits well within the funding range of most state and local government sporting infrastructure grants. Soccer clubs, multi-sport clubs, and schools have successfully funded teqball tables through programs including the Community Sport Infrastructure Fund, local council community grants, and school P&C equipment programs. The key is framing the purchase correctly — as a player development tool and community engagement asset, which it genuinely is.
Club Captain helps clubs and schools find, write, and submit grant applications. If you're considering a teqball table and haven't checked what grants are open in your state right now, start there before paying out of pocket.
A standard size 5 football. Any brand works but the official Teqball ball is specifically designed to complement the curved playing surface for the best response. For casual club or school use, whatever ball you have on hand is fine to get started.
Can one person move the TEQ SMART?
Yes. The gas-spring system makes folding and unfolding manageable for one person, and the four castor wheels mean you can roll it solo once it's folded. At 168kg it won't move by accident — the lockable brakes keep it parked when in use or in storage.
How long does assembly take?
Around 2 hours from flat-pack. The table arrives partially assembled — the legs attach to the playing surface and the net and wheels fit on. An instructional guide is included. Two people makes it more comfortable than one.
Can it stay outside permanently?
The SMART is weatherproof, waterproof, and UV-resistant, rated to +40°C and −20°C. It handles outdoor conditions well. That said, for longevity we'd recommend storing it under cover or folding it when not in use — particularly in areas with extreme sun exposure or coastal salt air.
What surface does it need to be set up on?
The SMART can be set up on most surfaces — grass, concrete, timber gym floors, synthetic courts. For competitive play the recommended surface is a flat, hard area of at least 140cm × 245cm. For club and school recreational use, any flat surface works.
Is this the right table for a club, or should we look at the TEQ ONE?
The TEQ ONE is a permanent fixture — it installs in one spot and doesn't move. If your club has a dedicated space where the table will stay, the ONE is worth considering. The SMART is the better choice for most clubs because it can go outside on match days, come inside for events, and be stored out of the way when the space is needed for something else. The playing surface and quality are identical.
Is teqball easy to pick up for beginners?
Yes — anyone who can kick a ball can play basic teqball within minutes. The curved surface keeps rallies going because it sends the ball back out toward the player rather than dropping it dead. New players find it immediately engaging. Advanced players find the curved surface endlessly challenging for touch and control. It works for everyone from a first-grade student to a senior squad player.

Also Worth Considering
If your club or school is building out a social games space or event kit, a quality outdoor table tennis table pairs well alongside a teqball table. Two different games, same social energy — and having both means there's always something happening while people wait their turn.
