Australian-Made. Heavy Duty. Built for Schools and Councils.

The Truline Reversible Basketball and Netball Tower is an Australian-made and purpose-built for schools, councils, and coastal facilities that need a reliable, no-fuss dual sport tower that will handle daily use and harsh outdoor conditions for years. Switch between a regulation basketball ring and netball hoop by rotating the lockable post, with a permanent ground sleeve that keeps the tower rock solid during play and removable for if you ever need the court clear.

Built from 115mm hot dip galvanised steel with a lockable rotation system and supplied with key and turning tool, this is a school basketball netball post designed for facilities that need something that simply works, year after year, in all types of weather. For schools and councils wanting a straightforward Australian-made reversible tower at a sharp price point, look no further.

🎁 Included with every tower

Basketball ring, netball ring, backboard, ground sleeve, nets, 1 x free basketball, 1 x free netball — everything you need to play from day one.

Who This Tower Is Built For

Primary and secondary schools A reliable Australian-made dual sport tower for outdoor hard courts. Handles PE classes, recess, lunch time, and after-school sport. Post padding is available and strongly recommended for both primary and secondary schools.

Councils and community recreation facilities Heavy duty galvanised construction suits public recreation spaces, community sport facilities, and shared-use outdoor courts that need equipment built to last with minimal maintenance.

Coastal schools and facilities The hot dip galvanised finish makes this tower a strong choice for coastal environments where salt air and humidity accelerate corrosion on lesser equipment.

Fixed Post vs Reversible Tower — Which Is Right for Your Court?

A fixed basketball post does one job and does it permanently. Once it's in the ground it stays there, it serves one sport, and your court is committed to that layout for the life of the installation. For a dedicated single-sport court that will never need to change, a fixed post is simple and cost-effective.

But most Australian schools and councils don't have that luxury. Courts serve multiple sports, multiple year groups, and multiple programs across the same week. A PE class runs basketball in the morning and netball in the afternoon. A school carnival takes over the court on Friday. An assembly needs the space completely clear on Monday. A fixed post can't adapt to any of that.

The Truline Reversible Tower solves this with a lockable rotation system — rotate between basketball and netball with the supplied key and turning tool, lift the tower out of the ground sleeve entirely when the court needs to be clear, and put it back when you're ready to play. One installation. Full flexibility. No compromises.

Before ordering, a few things worth confirming for your court. Standard outreach is 1800mm and suits most layouts — you'll need to confirm 2.8m of rotation clearance is available at your install point, this is a hard requirement and worth checking before you get too far into the process. The standard Timber Aquaply backboard suits most covered outdoor courts well. If your court is fully exposed or adjacent to classrooms and offices, ask us about the noise reduction backboard upgrade when requesting a quote. Post padding is optional but strongly recommended for all school settings.

Why Schools and Councils Choose the truline Tower

Australian-made quality Truline is a trusted Australian manufacturer supplying schools, clubs, and facilities nationwide. Built to Australian standards, for Australian conditions.

Lockable rotation system Switch between basketball and netball using the supplied key and turning tool. The lockable system keeps the tower secure during play and prevents unauthorised rotation, important for school environments.

Heavy duty 115mm galvanised steel post Extra heavy duty construction with hot dip galvanised finish, built for exposed outdoor courts, coastal environments, and the daily punishment of busy school and council facilities.

Removable from ground sleeve The tower lifts out of the ground sleeve for assemblies, carnivals, exams, or any time the court needs to be completely clear. The sleeve stays in the ground, the court stays flexible.

Packaged deal Unlike many competitors who sell the ground sleeve separately, we bundle it into the package price.  Plus we have decided to throw in a free basketball and netball to get you going straight away. No hidden extras, no surprise costs at checkout.

School purchase orders and formal quotes supported We provide itemised quotes formatted for principal approval, school purchase orders, and grant applications, with freight confirmed upfront.

How Installation Works

The Truline tower installs into a permanent ground sleeve, a concrete footing pad is poured and the sleeve is set into it. Once cured, the tower drops in and locks. We coordinate installation Australia-wide through our network of professional installers so you don't need to source your own tradesperson.

1
Request a quote Tell us your postcode, surface type, court dimensions, preferred backboard, whether you need post padding, and your ideal install date. We'll confirm outreach, rotation clearance, freight, and installation cost in one quote.
2
Order confirmed Once your purchase order or payment is received we confirm your installer and begin coordinating your site visit. We'll keep you updated at every step.
3
Site preparation and footing Your installer pours the concrete footing and sets the ground sleeve at the correct position and depth. Concrete curing typically takes 24–48 hours before the tower can be installed.
4
Tower installation The tower is dropped into the ground sleeve, locked, and set at the confirmed outreach for your court. Rings, backboard, nets, and post padding (if selected) are fitted and checked. Installation typically takes half a day once the footing has cured.
5
Ready to play Tower installed, locked, and ready. Your free basketball and netball are included — first game can happen the same day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this tower good for schools?

Yes - the Truline works well in primary school settings. We strongly recommend selecting post padding for primary schools. The ring sits at regulation 3.05m height, if your school runs modified basketball at a lower height contact us before ordering.

Does it suit coastal environments?

Yes - the hot dip galvanised finish makes the Truline a strong choice for coastal schools and facilities where salt air and humidity are a factor. It's one of the reasons Truline is a trusted choice for outdoor Australian installations.

How much clearance is needed to rotate the tower?

2.8m of clearance is required to rotate the tower between basketball and netball. Before ordering, confirm this clearance is available at your intended installation point. If you're not sure, send us your court layout and we'll check it for you.

Can the tower be removed after installation?

Yes - the tower lifts out of the ground sleeve so you can clear the court for assemblies, events, or exams. The sleeve remains in the ground permanently.

What is the Noise Reduction Backboard and when do I need it?

The Noise Reduction Backboard significantly reduces the impact noise from the ball hitting the board. It's worth considering for courts adjacent to classrooms, offices, libraries, or residential areas where ball noise is likely to cause disruption. Available as an upgrade, ask us about it when requesting a quote.

How long does installation take?

The concrete footing is poured on day one and needs 24–48 hours to cure. The tower installation itself takes around half a day once the footing has set. Allow 2–3 days from installer arrival to the tower being ready to use. Confirm your ideal date when requesting a quote.

Can it be installed on an existing court?

Yes - the ground sleeve can be installed into an existing concrete or asphalt surface. A section of the existing surface will need to be cut and a footing pad poured. Our installers handle this as part of the process.

Can schools use purchase orders?

Yes - we accept school purchase orders and provide itemised quotes formatted for principal approval and school procurement processes. Request a Quote →

Is this product eligible for grant funding?

Yes - reversible basketball netball towers are regularly funded through Sport Australia's Sporting Schools program, state government sport and recreation grants, and local council community infrastructure funding. Start with The Grant Playbook →

How do we maintain the tower?

The hot dip galvanised steel post requires minimal maintenance, an occasional rinse with water is sufficient for most installations. Check ring fixings, net condition, and the lockable rotation mechanism at the start of each term. If post padding is fitted, inspect periodically for wear and replace if compression or damage is visible. Contact us if you need replacement parts.
