What is the difference between the arched tower and the standard reversible tower?
The arched tower has a curved gooseneck frame profile and a shorter 1,800mm outreach with a ¾ size backboard. The standard reversible tower has a straight arm profile with up to 2,400mm outreach and a full-size 1,800×1,050mm backboard. The arched profile is typically specified where the frame aesthetic is important, where the court layout requires a shorter outreach, or where a design standard calls for the gooseneck style.
Should I choose fixed or reversible?
Fixed if the court is used exclusively for basketball. Reversible if you also need to run netball from the same tower — the reversible configuration includes a netball ring on the reverse side. Both use the same arched frame and carry the same build quality.
What wind rating do I need?
Wind rating 41 suits most standard school and council sites. Wind rating 50 is required for exposed coastal locations, tropical regions, and sites where local council or building approval specifies a higher rating.
