The Arched Basketball Tower. Fixed or Reversible. Commercial Grade. Brisbane Made.

The Grand Slam Arched Basketball Tower is a permanently installed commercial-grade system with a distinctive arched outreach frame β€” available as either a fixed basketball-only tower or a reversible basketball and netball tower. Manufactured in Brisbane by Grand Slam Sports Equipment, the arched design is specified by schools, councils, and architects where the gooseneck profile is required by court design standards or simply preferred for its clean aesthetic. Wind-rated, fully configurable, and built to the same commercial standard as the full Grand Slam range.

With a 1,800mm outreach and ΒΎ size fibreglass backboard as standard, the arched tower suits courts where a shorter projection is required or where the arched frame profile is the preferred structural choice. Select your model type β€” fixed or reversible β€” along with wind rating, netball ring, safety padding, and powder coat finish at the time of order.

πŸ“¦ Included with every tower

Grand Slam Arched Basketball Tower Β· ΒΎ size fibreglass backboard Β· basketball ring and net Β· arched galvanised steel support frame Β· ground sleeve Β· all fixings Β· netball ring (if selected) Β· configuration options as specified at time of order

Schools and Councils Specifying an Arched Frame Profile Many school and council facility designs specify an arched or gooseneck basketball tower profile β€” either as a design standard, an architect requirement, or a preference for how the tower sits visually on the court. The Grand Slam Arched Tower delivers the same commercial-grade construction as the standard tower in the arched form factor.
Courts Where a Shorter Outreach Is Required At 1,800mm outreach, the arched tower suits courts where the standard 2,400mm projection of the reversible tower extends too far into the court run-off area, or where the court layout simply doesn't accommodate a longer arm. It's the right specification for tighter court environments.
Facilities Wanting Fixed or Reversible in the Same Frame Style The arched tower is available in both fixed (basketball only) and reversible (basketball and netball) configurations β€” so facilities that run both sports can get the arched profile with the reversible mechanism, or specify fixed towers where netball isn't required.
Queensland Buyers Wanting Local Supply and Support Grand Slam is manufactured in Brisbane. For Queensland schools, councils, and clubs that means shorter lead times, local warranty support, and equipment engineered specifically for Queensland's coastal and tropical environments.
Manufactured in Brisbane β€” engineered for Australian conditions Grand Slam has been manufacturing sports equipment in Brisbane for decades, supplying schools, councils, and sporting facilities across Australia. Every tower is built to Australian standards for Australian climates β€” not imported and rebranded. Local manufacture means faster lead times and accessible warranty support.
Fixed or reversible β€” one frame, two configurations The arched tower is available in both fixed and reversible configurations. Choose fixed for a dedicated basketball court, or reversible with a netball ring for dual-sport use. Same frame, same build quality, same Brisbane manufacture β€” specified to suit your court.
Wind-rated construction β€” suitable for exposed sites Available in wind rating 41 and 50 β€” the correct specification for coastal sites, open recreation facilities, and regional locations where standard equipment isn't structurally rated for the conditions.
ΒΎ size fibreglass backboard β€” suited to the arched profile The ΒΎ size fibreglass backboard is the standard specification for arched towers and suits the visual proportions of the gooseneck frame. Durable, weather-resistant, and appropriate for all school and community court environments.
Galvanised steel β€” powder coat available The arched frame is galvanised steel as standard β€” corrosion resistant and built for long-term outdoor exposure. Powder coat is available in custom colours for facilities wanting to match school or club colours.
Installation coordinated nationally Club Captain coordinates installation through our national installer network. You don't need to source your own contractor. Installation cost and timeline are confirmed upfront in your quote.

Grant Funding β€” We Handle It End to End

Permanent basketball infrastructure is regularly funded through Sport Australia's Sporting Schools programme, state government sport and recreation grants, and local council community infrastructure funding. Many schools and councils purchase towers like this without spending a cent of their own budget.

At Club Captain we help you identify the right grant, scope the application around your facility's specific needs, and submit with confidence. We provide itemised quotes formatted for grant applications, school purchase orders, and committee approval β€” installation cost included.

What is the difference between the arched tower and the standard reversible tower?

The arched tower has a curved gooseneck frame profile and a shorter 1,800mm outreach with a ΒΎ size backboard. The standard reversible tower has a straight arm profile with up to 2,400mm outreach and a full-size 1,800Γ—1,050mm backboard. The arched profile is typically specified where the frame aesthetic is important, where the court layout requires a shorter outreach, or where a design standard calls for the gooseneck style.

Should I choose fixed or reversible?

Fixed if the court is used exclusively for basketball. Reversible if you also need to run netball from the same tower β€” the reversible configuration includes a netball ring on the reverse side. Both use the same arched frame and carry the same build quality.

What wind rating do I need?

Wind rating 41 suits most standard school and council sites. Wind rating 50 is required for exposed coastal locations, tropical regions, and sites where local council or building approval specifies a higher rating. Include your postcode when requesting a quote and we'll confirm the right rating for your site.

Do you organise installation?

Yes β€” Club Captain coordinates installation nationally through our installer network. Installation cost is quoted upfront so there are no surprises.
