The Soccer Rebound Board That Turns Solo Training Into Proper Skills Work

The HART Soccer Rebound Board is a high-density polyethylene training board that sends the ball straight back to you — consistently, reliably, and at the angle you set. Made from 20mm thick HDPE board, it's heavy enough at 12kg to stay put when you hit it hard, and adjustable enough to switch between ground-level pass returns and angled aerial returns depending on what you're working on. One player, one board, and you've got a training partner that never misses, never tires, and never needs to be somewhere else.

Clubs use it to run passing and first-touch stations at training without needing a player at every cone. Parents set it up in the backyard so kids can train between sessions. Coaches use it to create repetitive drill circuits that let a full squad work simultaneously without enough staff to partner everyone up. It folds flat when you're done and stores without taking up much space — a proper training tool that earns its place in any kit room or garage.

1 × HART Soccer Rebound Board · adjustable support legs with heavy-duty hinges · folding for storage and transport

Soccer clubs running training sessions with limited staff Running passing and first-touch drills with a full squad and only two coaches means most players are standing around waiting. Set up rebound boards as stations and every player is working simultaneously — passing, receiving, and repeating without needing a partner at each position. Clubs often buy multiples to run proper circuits.
Players training on their own between sessions Passing accuracy, first touch, and ball control all improve with repetition — and repetition requires a ball coming back to you consistently. The rebound board gives solo players that consistent return without needing a training partner, a wall, or a trip to a facility.
Families setting up backyard training Junior players who want to train at home need something that gives the ball back reliably. The rebound board sets up on grass in the backyard, stays stable at 12kg, and folds away when done. A better option than kicking at a fence — and easier on the neighbours.
Schools running PE and sport programs A rebound board station in a PE class keeps students active and on task without needing a teacher at every drill. Set up a circuit, let students work through it, and everyone gets meaningful repetitions in the same session time.
20mm thick HDPE — heavy enough to stay put, tough enough to last High-density polyethylene is impact resistant, weather resistant, and built to handle repeated hard contact without cracking, warping, or degrading. At 20mm thick and 12kg, the board absorbs the force of a struck ball and stays in position rather than sliding or tipping. It's not going to split the first time someone hits it properly.
Adjustable leg angle — ground pass or aerial return, your choice Adjust the support legs to lay the board closer to flat and the ball comes back along the ground — ideal for passing accuracy and first-touch work. Angle the legs to raise the board and the return goes into the air — working volleys, aerial control, and heading. Two completely different drills, one piece of equipment.
Consistent return — the same response every time Skills improve through repetition of correct movement patterns. A rebound board that gives a predictable, consistent return lets players focus entirely on their technique — the pass, the first touch, the body position — rather than adjusting to an unpredictable bounce. That consistency is what makes it a proper training tool rather than just a novelty.
Folds flat — stores and transports without hassle The heavy-duty hinges on the legs fold the board flat for storage and transport. It goes in the back of a car, stands upright in a kit room, or lays flat under a bench. For clubs moving equipment between grounds or parents keeping it in the garage — it doesn't take over the space it lives in.
Works for all skill levels — juniors through to seniors The drills you run with a rebound board scale with the player. A junior working on basic pass-and-receive technique gets the same equipment benefit as a senior player working on tight passing combinations at pace. The board doesn't change — the drill does.

How do I adjust the angle?

The support legs have adjustable positions — set them lower to bring the board closer to flat for ground-level pass returns, or raise them to angle the board upward for aerial returns. The adjustment is quick and doesn't require tools, so you can change it between drills during a session.

Will it move when I hit it hard?

At 12kg the board has enough mass to absorb a firmly struck ball without sliding or tipping. On grass it stays put well. On smoother or harder surfaces it may shift slightly with very powerful shots — positioning it against a fixed object or using on grass gives the most stable result.

Can it be left outside?

HDPE is weather resistant and won't rust or degrade from exposure — but like any training equipment it will last longer stored out of direct UV exposure when not in use. Folding it flat and keeping it in a shed or garage between sessions is the best approach for long-term longevity.

How many should a club buy for training?

It depends on squad size and how you structure sessions. Most clubs running circuit-style training find 3-6 boards gives enough stations to keep a full squad active simultaneously. If you're unsure how many suits your setup, call us on 1300 715 818 and we'll help you think through the drill structure.

What surface does it work on?

Grass is the primary surface — it sits well and gives consistent ground-level returns. It can also be used on synthetic turf and hard court surfaces, though the ball return characteristics will vary slightly depending on the surface firmness.
