Fixed vs portable towers. Fixed towers are permanently concreted into the ground and are the right choice for high-traffic venues like school gyms, community courts and club facilities. They're more stable, more durable and require less ongoing maintenance than portable systems. Portable systems are better suited to home courts, driveways or training environments where the hoop needs to move or be stored.

Single, double or 4-way configuration. A single tower suits a standard half-court or training setup. A double tower (two backboards, one post) is ideal for full-court play and is common in school gymnasiums.
